About — Fufe

Dance teacher. Poly dancer. Slow listener.

I teach adults to read their own bodies the way they once learned to read books — patiently, in their own voice. Bachata, contemporary, sexy dance, floorwork, improvisation: not five separate classes, but five vocabularies of one language.

"I don't teach a style. I teach you to be fluent in your body — so any style becomes a way of speaking, not a costume to wear."

The story

The poly dancer.

Why I dance many styles

For a long time the dance world told me I had to pick. Bachata or contemporary. Sensual or technical. Performer or teacher. I refused — not out of rebellion, but because each style was teaching me a different sentence about my body. Contemporary taught me weight. Bachata taught me connection. Floorwork taught me trust. Sexy dance taught me presence without apology. Improvisation taught me listening.

How that became a teaching practice

When I started teaching, I noticed students didn't need more styles. They needed help understanding what their body was already doing — and what it was capable of saying. So I stopped teaching choreography first. I started with the instrument. That became Flow Method.

Who I work with

Mostly adults between 30 and 50. Many are women returning to their bodies after years of being told what they should look like. Many are smart, analytical people who live in their heads and want a way back. I don't promise transformation — I promise honest, patient, personal teaching.

My promise

You don't have to be flexible, young, thin, coordinated, sexy or experienced to dance with me. You have to be willing to listen to your body and try things you might be bad at, for a while.

How I teach

The shape of a session.

A 1:1 with me is half conversation, half movement.

  1. 01

    Land in the body.

Five minutes of breath, weight and small movement.

  2. 02

    What's true today?

We talk briefly. Tired, tight, restless, curious?

  3. 03

    Vocabulary & play.

The bulk of the session. A movement focus, a few exercises.

  4. 04

    Direct & kind.

I notice things. I name them.

  5. 05

    One small practice.

A thing to play with this week.
